Silence of the Lambs - 35mm double feature!
Our ongoing double feature series with MiDNiTES FOR MANiACS continues this weekend with a very special 35mm screening of Silence of the Lambs and Manhunter, this Saturday night (9/3/16) at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco.
Artist David Moscati has created another wonderful limited edition print to commemorate this event, as well as a complimentary lobby card which we'll be giving away to all attendees!
Here's what David had to say about his latest design:
"In the film its the lambs cries from being slaughtered that haunt Agent Darling and are what pushes her to be better and to prove herself. Embracing your fears to overcome challenges is her personal theme.
Through this way of thinking and her detective work, her epiphany is when she examined a victim in the local mortuary earlier in the film, one of the things she noticed was two unexplained diamond shaped areas cut out of the back of that girl.
When investigating Fredrica Bimmel's (Buffalo Bills first victim) room she finds a dress form with diamond patterns on its back. This is the work of a seamstress and is the connection that Clarice uses to deduce who the killer is and what he is doing (making a new skin to become a woman)."
Limited to only 100 signed and numbered copies, this exclusive screen print will be available first to attendees of our screening this Saturday. Online sales will begin Monday, September 5th at 10AM PST via our online store.
As an added bonus, every attendee at the theater will receive a complimentary signed and numbered screen printed lobby card (seen above!) courtesy of David Moscati and Spoke Art.
See you this Saturday night!
