Frank Lloyd Wright: "Timeless"
Francois Schuiten
Spoke Art and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation are pleased to present "Timeless" a group exhibition inspired by the works of the legendary architect.
This June, Spoke Art will travel to Taliesin West in Scottsdale Arizona for the first leg in our FLW tour. Taliesin West was built in 1937 and served as the former winter residence of Mr. Wright and is the current home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and School of Architecture at Taliesin.
There, we will be presenting a unique exhibition within the confines of the historic setting, a unique and compelling venue if there ever was one. The exhibition will be hosted inside the Music Pavilion, opened in 1957 and the last addition to the compound before Wright's passing in 1959.
Over one dozen international artists have been commissioned to create new original works inspired by Wright's oeuvre. As a curatorial starting point, artists were requested to explore the See America posters issued in the 1930s and 1940s by the Works Project Administration. The result is a dynamic showcase of illustrated posters, all produced in a limited edition and exclusive to this exhibition.
