On View Now in SF: Peter Adamyan's "First World Cargo Cult"
Spoke Art is pleased to present First World Cargo Cult, a solo exhibition by Oakland-based artist Peter Adamyan. Returning for his 4th solo show with the gallery, this new collection is inspired by the burden of cargo and mass-production - examined through the lens of colonialism, indigenous spirituality, and environmental decay. As always, Adamyan’s clever brand of irony ridicules the selfishness, greed, and corruption of Man as he turns his back on Mother Nature.
Please join us for First World Cargo Cult, on view December 5-26, 2020. **Due to the pandemic and current stay-at-home safety orders, the gallery is open by appointment only. To review our gallery safety measures and schedule an in-person viewing appointment, click HERE.**
Be sure to tune in to our livestream walkthrough + artist Q&A with Peter this Saturday 12/12 at 2 PM Pacific on our Spoke Art instagram. And keep an eye out for our interview between Peter and gallery manager Lyndsie Fox, releasing soon via Juxtapoz!
